在社交媒体上，我们往往看到的是别人家的孩子取得了优秀的成绩，别人家的孩子考入了名校，别人家的孩子有了很好的工作…当我们在为这些别人家的孩子欣喜之时，别忘了还有更多没有那么幸运的普通娃，以及这些普通娃的家长们。威郡华人教会是一个向社区服务的基督教会。我们今年暑假推出四次为家长们减压的讲座。第一讲我们请到了儿童心理学家Dr. Teresa Hsu. 她将从心理学角度来梳理如何应对移民家庭孩子们面对的文化冲突，可能会产生的学校霸凌，以及由此而来的焦虑等等。如果你感兴趣的话，请用图中的二维码扫描登记。讲座配有中文同步翻译。如果有孩子一同来，我们会负责孩子们的活动。

On social media, what we often see is that other people’s children have achieved excellent results, other people’s children have been admitted to prestigious schools, and other people’s children have good jobs... When we are serving these other people’s children When you are happy, don't forget that there are more ordinary children who are not so lucky, as well as the parents of these ordinary children. The West Coast Chinese Church is a Christian church serving the community. We have launched four stress-relieving lectures for parents this summer. In the first lecture, we invited child psychologist Dr. Teresa Hsu. She will sort out how to deal with the cultural conflicts faced by children of immigrant families from a psychological perspective, possible school bullying, and the resulting anxiety. etc. If you are interested, please scan the QR code in the picture to register. Art and Life - The Second Lecture of the Wei County Chinese Church Summer Family Lecture Time: July 21 (this Sunday at 1:15 pm)
Speaker: Dr. Hao Qingsong Lecture Topic: Art and Life Dr. Hao appreciates the world's famous paintings from the perspective of life art, combines it with the artist's life experience, and sees the whole process of life's degradation, repentance and salvation in artistic creation.
Dr. Hao is currently a co-worker of Jiao Sheng, an art critic and curator, and holds a PhD in Art from Tsinghua University. He has curated numerous contemporary art exhibitions and served as a judge and consultant for many international art exhibitions. Curator of the Long Island Land Art Exhibition in 2023, visual arts judge for the 2021 Song of Songs Literary Awards at Duke University, and curator of the 2018 Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition at Purdue University.

There are joys and sorrows in life, good times and bad times. Dear friends, have you ever experienced insurmountable pain? At 1:15 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, Pastor Wang Dawei will use God’s wisdom to guide friends in need out of their marriage difficulties. Lecture 4:by Dr. Yiquing Shen
The summer vacation of 2024 will be over soon. Parents and students, are you ready? In order to give new immigrant families a general understanding of American high schools and the process of transitioning from high school to college, the West County Chinese Church will hold its last free lecture to reduce stress for parents at 1:15 pm on Sunday, 8/18. The speaker is Shen Yijing, a physics teacher in a New York public high school with 18 years of high school teaching experience. Also the mother of two adult children. CCCW joined the Asian American Heritage Festival with a Vendor table on Saturday, June 1 at Kensico Dam Plaza, at 1 Bronx River Parkway from 12pm to 4pm. Many of CCCW members stayed there to meet with visitors with various arts/craft, gifts and personal contact under our pastor Rev. David Wong. The face sticker by Melodie is a Hit that brought many families.  They also left their contact information for us to follow up. Please see photos below.

CCW Apple Picking 採蘋果！威郡社區教會將於十月八日中午教會崇拜後去採蘋果。我們會準備中式簡單午餐。 

We will have the Apple Picking at Stuart Apple Farm  on October 8, 2023 after a short Sermon service at CCCW at Hastings-on-Hudson around 12:15pm.  We will provide Chinese food for lunch before we pick apples at 62 Granite Springs, NY 10527.

威郡華人教會在二零二零十一月二十日慶祝感恩節！當日有近五十人參加。有幾位姊妹們的見證都非常令人感動。我們看到大部分的會友及其他新及老朋友非常高興。會友們又愛心的準備豐盛的午餐。感謝與我們主的同在！ 

CCCW Celebrates Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 20, 2022.  We had about 50 people participated. The testimonies from few sisters were so touching.  Most of members prepared delicious meal and dessert. We are so happy not only seeing most of our members,  but also many old and new friends joined us.   Thank you  Lord for being with us.
